Chairman
James W. Gill – B.Sc., M.Sc., PhD.
Dr. Gill is a mining consultant with over 35 years in the natural
resource sector. Dr. Gill graduated from McGill University with a
Bachelor of Science degree (Honors Geology) in 1971 and a Master of
Science degree (Economic Geology) in 1976 and, in 1977, received a PhD
degree (Economic Geology) from Carleton University in Ottawa. Dr. Gill
worked for Getty Mines Ltd. and Denison Mines Ltd. before founding Aur
Resources Inc. in 1981 where he was President & CEO and a Director.
Under Dr. Gill’s leadership, Aur became an extremely profitable mining
company which was sold to Teck Cominco Limited in 2007. Dr. Gill has
received several awards from his peers for his work in the mining
industry over his career. Dr. Gill has been Chairman and a Director of
Thundermin since 1983.
President & CEO
John B. Heslop – B.Sc., M.Sc.
Mr. Heslop is a professional geologist with over 40 years in the natural
resource sector. Mr. Heslop obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours
Geology) from the University of Western Ontario in 1968 and a Master of
Science degree (Economic Geology) from Carleton University in 1970.
During the past 40 years, he has been actively involved in base metal,
gold and uranium exploration throughout Canada. Mr. Heslop held the
position of Exploration Manager, Central Canada for Texasgulf Inc. from
1974 to 1982, Vice-President, Project Development for Kidd Creek Mines
Ltd. from 1982 until Kidd Creek was acquired by Falconbridge Limited in
1986 and Director of Exploration for Falconbridge Limited from 1986
until 1987. Since that time he has been President and CEO and a Director
of Thundermin. Mr. Heslop was a Director of the Prospectors and
Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) from 1982 until 1998; he served
as Vice-President from 1993 until 1995 and President in 1996 and 1997.
Currently Mr. Heslop serves on the Awards Committee of the PDAC and is
Chairman of the PDAC Mining Matters charitable foundation.
Chief Financial Officer
Robert D. B. Suttie
Mr. Suttie has over a decade of public accounting experience and is
currently Senior Manager with Marrelli Support Services Inc. (MSSI)
where he specializes in management advisory, accounting and financial
disclosure needs of MSSI’s junior mining public company client base. Mr.
Suttie also manages the financial statement team at MSSI and serves as
Chief Financial Officer for several junior resource companies listed on
the TSX Venture Exchange.
Corporate Secretary
Susan Smith
Ms. Smith has served as Corporate Secretary to a number of public mining
exploration companies over the past 30 years. She has acted as Corporate
Secretary of Thundermin since 1998 and held the position of Vice
President, Corporate Affairs and Secretary of Queenston Mining Inc.
until her resignation in 2007. |
